I've been thinking for a bit and the plot bunnies are getting insistent, so I have to ask all one of the people who actually read this. Is there any way that I could bring Jade back without seeming REEEEEALLY cheap? I just think that I wasted Jade's character a little by killing her off like that. So I wanted to do a sequel, but there isn't much opportunity with just Marty. Thoughts?

OK, so in the other story jade is at the tree of souls, right?
well i just read it and i think that if you made it seem like eywa decided to put her in a body similar to that of the na'vi it would be cool...loved the story by the way!

You could totally have Jade be infected with a magical plot virus which makes her rise from the dead as a super powered- oh...wait. No, that's been done. Hmm.
Hrn...it's been awhile since I read the ending. Was she anywhere near the magical Eywa (however you spell it) tree, so they could transfer her consciousness into some other body?
And there's always time travel.

I don't know, you might have written yourself into a corner here.

Marty put her right next to the Tree of Souls. Actually, I had thought of transferring her into Grace's Avatar, but figured that was too weird. I suppose she could come back Commander Shepard style (play Mass Effect 2 to know what I mean).

I could always retcon her last name to Ryder :p. (Ryder is the protagonist of the official game, who has an Avatar for some unexplained reason).

Or you could go the Nikolai Ginovaef route, and have her inexplicably not die/constantly come back from the dead without any explanation whatsoever. (Why yes I did finally get around to playing RE 3, why do you ask?)

...I really shouldn't be surprised there's going to be an Avatar game. What genre is it? FPS?

I'm looking for a plausible reason, not an insane RE-logic explaination :p. Have you picked up on the things I mentioned in Raccoon City Mosh Pit while playing RE3?

It's an arcadey third-person shooter with a Total War-esque overworld strategy element and RPG-style levelling up to get better equipment. It's actually pretty good. You get to choose whether to stay with the RDA or side with the Na'Vi about an hour in. Guess what I chose :p.

So far, RE 3 has been a blur of Oh God Nemesis can teleport why did no one warn me and really annoying boss battles. This is the first oldschool RE I've played where the camera angles have actually been a problem for me. The puzzles also suck (in a Capcom why do you enjoy my pain kind of way). I'd have to reread Mosh Pit, feels like forever since you first posted it.

...a good movie-based game? Isn't that impossible?

Apparently James Cameron heard about The Problem With Licensed Games and stepped in to avoid it. It's by no means amazing but it's competent even in its worst moments. Granted I haven't played the Na'Vi side which I hear has worse gameplay, but the RDA shooting mechanics are pretty cool. You even get to dual-wield pistols.

Actually, they don't. The Na'Vi still have their braids but they don't use them. It's a weight off my mind :|
